Christmas Eve and Christmas Day are two of the few occasions during the year when publishing-related communications mostly shut down for me. I’ve gotten the last burst of messages, and now all’s quiet. Everyone’s celebrating the holiday in one way or another. I know that’s a good thing, relaxation and family are positives…but I admit, it still drives me a little crazy. Because I’m completely obsessed with my writing career and spend every spare moment developing it in one way or another, it truly pains me not to be exchanging messages related to it. The silence can be deafening…though it can also be extremely beneficial, as it forces me to shut out the external voices and focus totally on actual creative composition and planning. Just like it used to be before the Interwebs, right? Just a mind, a pad of paper, and a starry sky. *Sigh* Okay, it’s not really like that…but it can be very stimulating. So onward and upward, as always! See you soon! And Merry Christmas!
