I’m scheduled to see Avatar with my bro, Scott, on Saturday, barring horrific weather. The movie has done so well and impressed so many filmgoers, it has me pumped to the max. My original reaction to the trailer was of the “Meh” variety, as in “this looks like a glorified videogame”…but from what I hear, the 3D viewing experience with all the digital bells and whistles will be a knockout. So Avatar, here I come! Now if I could just get to a viewing of The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus (sigh) or The Road! Maybe some Academy Award nominations will loosen up the distribution on those two. See you soon!
