It Worked!

I’m happy to say the great podcast experiment was a success!  I recorded a podcast last night, inserted it in my blog post, and made it available to listeners.  I know, I know:  I’m a little behind the curve here.  Make that a lot.  Tons of folks have been podcasting like crazy for years already.  But I say it’s better late than never.  Besides, now that I’ve taken the first step, I’m all set to make Podcast Wednesdays a regular feature here at the Fictioneer!  And boy, do I have some cool plans for Podcast Wednesdays.  For one thing, I’ve got some truly trippy old audio from a plethora of past activities, like my work in radio and TV.  You’ll be hearing some of those greatest hits…plus I’ll be podcasting a great new project called Dicks.

Here’s the plan:  for the first time, I’m planning to release a novel on my own as an e-book and in other formats, starting with podcasts.  I’ll be reading each chapter of Dicks myself and posting it here on the blog for your enjoyment.  Then, I’ll make the e-book version available, possibly followed by a paperback.  It’s a big experiment for me, but I really believe in this book, and I think you’re going to love it.  Dicks is a truly outrageous comedy novel in the spirit of Family Guy and South Park.  It’s not safe for work and not safe for kids, but it is insanely whacky.  I’ll be telling you lots more about it in posts to come.  Meanwhile, thanks for being a part of the great experiment!  See you soon!
