I’m heavily in self-doubt mode tonight. This happens periodically, when the rejections and non-responses pile up, and I consider all the work I’ve put into the fiction writing with very little to show for it. It’s not quite rock-bottom, but it’s a dark spot, all right. Hopefully, I’ll feel better tomorrow.
On the bright side, I did get my Daily Grand today, plus finally(!) started my taxes. Also got a lot of financial odds and ends done, ran errands, etc. Went to see Frost/Nixon with my wife and really enjoyed it. Once you get past the (necessary) history lesson at the beginning, the movie really catches fire. I highly recommend it. Still haven’t watched the whole episode of Battlestar Galactica from Friday night yet, but I did start it. Tomorrow, I’m going to see Watchmen, so we’ll see how that goes. Pretty sure I’m gonna love it.
Tonight’s travel photo is a shot of me in Windsor, Ontario from June 2000. That’s my Mom and Dad at left. We went to visit good friends in Michigan, John and Mary Gembinski (at center). John and Mary took us around Detroit and up to Windsor for the day. See you tomorrow!
