Productivity Is Good

April 3, 2009

What a great couple of days on the productivity front!  Between yesterday and today, I’ve sent out 11 novel queries to editors, 1 short story submission, and 1 poem.  I’ve also kept up my Daily Grand pace and kept the other balls in the air for the most part.  Our mortgage refinancing, for example, is moving right along; we handed in the signed papers and information today.  This is all especially good news because we’ll have company from out of town visiting next weekend.  In fact, they’ll be arriving Thursday evening and staying through Easter Sunday…and one of them is a seven-year-old boy with a mouth that never stops!  In other words, right now is a great time to be productive, as the end of next week and next weekend promise to be less so.  I hope I can keep up the pace over the weekend and really make some progress on the current novel and marketing, all without giving my wife or my responsibilities short shrift.  Fingers crossed!

Now for today’s photo.  This one’s a shot of me on Sand Beach in Acadia National Park, Maine, from 1991.  This was taken during the trip my brother and I took to New England and the Canadian Maritimes.  See you tomorrow!
