Splitting Headache

April 9, 2009

My sinuses got the better of me today, sticking me with a splitting headache that’s still with me at this writing.  It really ruined my mood, I’m afraid, though I did keep up the pace on my novel.  I even managed to exceed my Daily Grand and plunged into the climactic final action sequence, during which all will be revealed and resolved.  So things are still moving forward in spite of the sinuses.  I hope the headache fades by tomorrow, though; enough is enough.  Now if I can just improve my general morale, which is currently rock bottom.  Sometimes, I admit, I can get a little manic-depressive.  Right now, I’m definitely on the depressive end of that syndrome.  How am I going to snap out of it?  I think it might take some harsh self-analysis and recalibration.  Sometimes, I just get “wrapped around the axle” and can’t seem to untangle myself.  Fingers crossed I can switch this mood before I do something that creates a real problem for me.

Now for today’s photo.  This one was taken on Bourbon Street in New Orleans during my trip across the country with Don Bertschman after college in 1987.  See you tomorrow!
