Chugging Along

April 20, 2009

I’m still chugging along on the current novel…now within three thousand words of the finish line.  If I keep up my daily rate of a thousand words, that means I ought to wrap it up in three days.  It’s hard to believe that I’m almost there.  I’ve been working so hard for so long on this novel, it’s been my life for the past few months.  When I finish it, I’ll have a ton of work to do to get it ready to send out…but before all that, I’ll have to prep for the big marketing workshop in Oregon.  I’m really looking forward to that workshop; it’ll be a great opportunity to learn, practice, network, and recharge after firing hard since mid-January on the current novel.  Meanwhile, I have to keep chugging along, keeping the faith, staying on course.  That’s what it’s all about.

Now for today’s photo.  This is a shot of me at Charles DeGaulle Airport, Paris, France, on my way home from touring Germany, Austria, and Switzerland in September 1990.  I know it doesn’t really count as visiting Paris, but still…I was close.  And I’m planning to go back someday and actually see the city, God willing.  See you tomorrow.
