Well, I’m still trying to recover from my busy holiday weekend, plus my busy first day back at work. Luckily, it poured rain this evening (and all day, too), so I had a good excuse to stay in and work on the writing this evening. I can’t believe I cheered for rainy weather…but honestly, it was the only thing that could have kept me indoors, which was where I needed to be. I’ve got a lot to do on the writing side right now, and I really have to force myself to put my butt in the chair this week. I have follow-up snail mail queries to prep and send for my latest novel; a graphic novel query, sample script pages, and proposal to put together; a brand-new query and proposal to write for a not-so-new novel; and a brand spanking new novel to get rolling. So, yeah, I have to get outside and tend the yard and plant tomatoes and crank up the swimming pool gear…but I also have to make sure I put in my time in the “hot seat.” It’s the only way to make any progress on the writing front.
