Just watched True Blood for the first time, and I’m loving it so far! No wonder it’s the top-rated show on HBO! Everything about this show is excellent–from the cast to the writing to the direction to the soundtrack. It just goes to show that no matter how many times you’ve seen something done (like vampire stories), it’s always possible to come up with a fresh new take and create something stunningly entertaining. That’s a very encouraging notion for a writer like me…also because True Blood is based on a series of novels (like that other great HBO series, Dexter). It could happen for me someday, too; that’s the kind of thinking that keeps me going. Of course, it would help if I sold a series of novels first! Hope springs eternal! See you soon!
