Not much accomplished on the writing side today, just an hour’s worth of edits on a short story…but that’s okay. My wife and I had quite a few chores to accomplish, including outdoor work that ate a good bit of time. For one thing, I had to disconnect the pool heater, which has sprung a leak (now that we finally have a full tank of propane and a clear underground fuel line). This required quite a bit of screwing around. Then, I had a bit of gardening to do, plus a start on the lawn mowing, which was seriously overdue. I enjoyed spending time with my wife, too, between very busy work weeks. Hopefully, I can take care of everything on the to do list for tomorrow and still hit the writing…especially some major novel edits I’ve been avoiding. What can I say? They’ll be a serious challenge, to say the least, and I’m afraid to get started. In fact, I’m not quite sure where to start. But maybe I’ll get some guidance and inspiration tomorrow, after I sleep on it a while. Wish me luck!
Time again for a travel photo from the archives, in honor of the weekend! This one’s from the Piazza Navona in Rome, from June 19, 1997. Arrivederci! See you soon!
