Did you ever get to the end of a day and wonder what exactly you did during that day? That’s the kind of Sunday I’ve had. The day is done, it’s time for another week, but I’m not quite sure what I’ve accomplished. I have a vague recollection of going to church, putting away the last of the pool equipment, eating at Pizza Hut, shopping at Wal-Mart, and getting caught up on some e-mails…but even that seems fluid, misty, uncertain. It feels like a dream, and I’m left feeling cheated. Though I didn’t accomplish much on the fiction writing side, and I didn’t make a dent in my long list of put-off chores, I didn’t really play hooky and max out the carpe diem aspects, either. Maybe it would feel more justifiable if I’d spent the whole day goofing off or making the most out of life or something, instead of knowing I did a little of this and a little of that but didn’t kick butt in a significant way.
But oh well, that’s life, huh? I’ll just have to plow forward and make major headway on multiple fronts in the super-ultra-productive week ahead. I’ll let you know how it turns out. See you soon!
