Just saw Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland today and thought it was very cool. The visuals were just awesome from start to finish…though I did think the story dragged a big around the midway point. Another triumph for Mr. B., who is always fascinating to watch. Also saw and loved the first full episode of the new run of Doctor Who on BBC America. The new Doctor, Matt Smith, is hilarious; I just hope he and the writers can keep up the zaniness in episodes to come. His new companion is great, too. My wife, Wendy, who is not a fan, watched the first episode with me and thought it was wonderful. She laughed and smiled the whole way through, which believe me is not easy for a show to accomplish.
