Why did you have to be so good this season, Battlestar Galactica? Why did you have to ratchet up the suspense and excitement to such a fever pitch? You haven’t been this consistently good since Season One, or back when you ended Season Two by jumping forward a whole year in storytelling time. So why did you have to be so irresistible now, all of a sudden? Don’t you realize I’m trying to write a novel here? Plus finish revising another novel, plus do marketing work, plus read several books at one time? Couldn’t you work with me here? Become less interesting again, with more of that “spinning your wheels” kind of storytelling, like we saw last season? Don’t you realize I can’t resist watching you as you air instead of on tape delay, because you’re so fracking good these days?
Come on, Galactica! You’re cutting into my Friday nights here! I know you only have seven episodes left till the end of the season and the series, but that means I’ll have seven more weeks’ worth of these less productive Fridays. Curse you! Curse you, Battlestar Galactica!
Everyone else, I’ll see you tomorrow!
