Disappearing Weekend

March 29, 2009

Whoosh!  Hear that?  It’s the sound of the weekend disappearing!  One minute, it’s glorious Friday afternoon, and the weekend’s laid out before me like a banquet.  The next minute, it’s trickling away, and all that’s left are twelve minutes.  But I guess I can’t complain.  Yesterday, I finished all my taxes, which is a serious load off.  I also got my Daily Grand on the novel and even managed to have some fun.  Today, I got my Daily Grand, then also managed to take care of some odds and ends and do some marketing.  Can you believe it?  I actually finished several novel queries to send out!  Marketing is the one thing that perpetually gets pushed off the table during my busy weekends, so it was great actually getting some of it done.  Now if I can just keep it rolling in the weeks to come.

Now for today’s photo.  This one’s a shot of me by Lake Erie in Erie, Pennsylvania in 2000.  Looks like a desolate Arctic snowscape, doesn’t it?  See you tomorrow.
