Actually, after that D’oh! moment I had, when I looked at the datebook and realized Balticon is coming up next weekend, I had another D’oh! moment! Realizing I hadn’t gotten a schedule for the con yet, I checked the Balticon website…and sure enough, the schedule has been posted, and my name isn’t on it! Even though I was invited last October and responded by e-mail three days later, I somehow didn’t make it on the schedule. Meaning one of two things happened: either somebody goofed…or my e-mail didn’t make it through the system. Which, as we all know, is possible. Ah, e-mail; it makes life so much easier…usually.
So what now? Whither Balticon? We’ll see, I guess. I just sent off an e-mail to the programmers, asking for an update, so hopefully I’ll know soon. Really soon would be good, as I’ll have to cancel my hotel room ASAP to avoid paying penalties. So we’ll see what happens when they get my e-mail.
If they get it, of course.
