Easter Weekend

April 10, 2009

Well, our visitors are in the house, so the writing takes second place for the weekend…but that’s okay.  I’m into the last big action scene of the novel, and I think it might actually do me some good to take a deep breath before I get any further into it.  Sometimes, when I’m firing hard on a novel, hitting a thousand words or more a day, every day, I can feel like I’m losing perspective and might be missing something.  A little break can help keep the work fresh.  (And If I manage to sneak in a few hundred words Saturday and/or Sunday, all the better.)

Today’s photo is similar to yesterday’s; in fact, I staged it to be almost the same.  Yesterday’s photo was from Bourbon Street, New Orleans in 1987.  This one is from 16 years later…June 2003.  Why not flip back and forth and compare the two shots?  Cool, huh?  See you tomorrow!
