Well, I’m back in the trenches again, fighting to crank out a short story. Struggling with it, too…much more than I should be. I know what the problem is: I’m overthinking, trying too hard. Trying to rope in everything I learned in my recent workshops plus make every line scintillate and sparkle. The result is not yet catching fire…but I can tell it’s on the verge. The setup is powerful, with lots of potential; I just need to get that one blazing spark that sets the thing in motion. I know I can do it. Keep a good thought for me, all right? I need to get over this speed bump in order to ramp up the next phase of my writing. See you soon!
