Though I’ve been away on vacation for the past two weeks (and mostly offline), my new novel, My Favorite Band Does Not Exist, has just kept chugging along. As of the official publication date of July 11, the book has become available online and at a bookstore near you. Interestingly enough, this all happened while I was out of the country; when My Favorite Band Does Not Exist hit bookshelves for the first time, I was on the other side of the ocean, in Paris, France. But now I’m back and ready to bring you some cool updates about this novel of mine. First up, let’s take a look at the back cover, by the awe-inspiring James Smith. It’s actually the cover of a book-within-the-book, a wild fantasy novel that both main characters are reading. This fantasy, titled Fireskull’s Revenant, becomes a conduit between the two heroes’ alternate realities…and ultimately, it unites them and helps them evolve beyond their problems and conflicts. I think James has done a great job conjuring up the cover of this book, and I’m sure you’ll love it, too.
If you’d like to see more of James’ work, go here and follow the links below the Fireskull’s Revenant cover. And remember to look for My Favorite Band Does Not Exist, now available here from Amazon, here from Barnes and Noble, and at your favorite local bookseller. If your bookstore doesn’t have one in stock, just ask for it by name, and they can order you a copy from Clarion Books.
