Well, the good news is, I found that FedEx package that disappeared in Friday’s insane rain and wind storms. The bad news is, I found it in the back yard, soaking wet from being out in the hard rain all night. The vital paperwork inside the envelope was sopping wet…but amazingly, I was able to dry it out and might still be able to use it. Some of the ink ran, but the document might still be okay. That, of course, is all that really matters in this situation…but I’m still stunned by the timing of the storms and the way they blew away something that’s been a part of my dreams for a long time. One good thing will come of this, though: I’ll certainly never forget the day when I first received the paperwork in that envelope. See you soon!
