What a great trip! Wendy and I went to New York City last Saturday and got back Wednesday, and the trip was fantastic on all fronts! We had lots of productive business meetings related to my fiction writing, plus plenty of cool Big Apple-style dining and entertainment besides! On Sunday, we saw Ravi Coltrane, son of the great jazz saxophonist John Coltrane, in concert…and he blew my mind! On Monday, we saw a taping of the Late Show With David Letterman featuring soccer superstar David Beckham and saxophonist David Sanborn. On Tuesday, we saw a fabulous Broadway show, Promises, Promises, then met the stars at the stage door afterward, Sean Hayes (Jack from Will and Grace) and Kristin Chenoweth (Olive Snook from Pushing Daisies).
And then, we had to come home and get caught up in all the usual day job and home life insanity. Talk about a huge let-down! But at least the weather is great…and Saturday is Free Comic Book Day! The most wonderful holiday of all! See you soon!
