Okay, I’m exhausted now. Today, I generated 10 all-new queries for my urban fantasy novel…3 new queries for a mystery…plus revised an existing high priority query for the mystery…revised a query for a graphic novel…and significantly revised a script sample for the graphic novel. Woof! Now that’s productivity! In part, I kicked it up a notch because I got so little done over the weekend and felt guilty. But I also increased my output because I’m trying to maximize the number of items I put in circulation in early June, before there’s any possibility of extensive summer vacations decreasing my chances of reaching good editors and getting positive responses to my work. Now, tomorrow will be the culmination of today’s barrage of productivity: e-mail day, when I send all those little queries out into the editorial ocean like a school of fish. Fingers crossed that some (or all!) of them result in positive responses! See you soon.
