It’s one of the rules of my day job that whenever a major holiday rolls around, so too does a major short-fuse proposal. Sure enough, with Thanksgiving nearly upon us, a fresh proposal has reared its ugly head. We just received notification on Tuesday that we’re going to write it…and it’s due next Tuesday, which is one heck of a short turnaround. Hello, working over the weekend! Goodbye, Philcon, the science fiction convention I was scheduled to attend Friday through Sunday! This happens every year! Nothing to do but put my head down and muscle through it. I guess it’s a small price to pay. See you soon.
