It’s that time again! Time for a few reminders about my latest projects. My new story, “The Wish of a Wish,” appears in Crime Spells, from DAW Books.
My essay, “Sympathy for the Devils,” appears in In the Hunt: Unauthorized Essays About Supernatural.
And my article, “Final Authority,” appears in Star Trek Magazine #16.
All three are available now at a bookstore near you. Crime Spells and In the Hunt are available via Amazon. It’s great, having three very different projects available at the same time: a piece of original fiction; an essay about a TV show; and an article about Star Trek. I hope you’ll check them out.
Now for today’s travel photo. This one’s a shot of me on the beach at Lincoln City, Oregon in March 2003. Lincoln City is the home of the most amazing writers’ workshops you’re likely to find, conducted by my mentors, Dean Wesley Smith and Kristine Kathryn Rusch. This photo was taken during my first trip to Oregon, when I attended Dean and Kris’ Master’s Class. It was one of the most grueling, eye-opening, challenging, and rewarding experiences of my entire life. In fact, I can honestly say it changed my life and set me on course to become a professional fiction writer. If you’re interested in writing fiction, and you have a few credits under your belt, you ought to check into these great workshops. Visit Dean’s blog, one of the best about writing fiction, at http://deanwesleysmith.com/ See you tomorrow!
