The time between Thanksgiving and New Year’s can be a slow one in publishing. All the more reason to throttle up on the writing side and generate some output. Now’s the time to write hard and make fresh strategic plans for the new year, when publishing roars back to full speed ahead. Of course, this time of year is also busy from a holiday standpoint, which can make it tough to reach high output levels. The day job’s traditionally crazy busy in this timeframe, as well. The key, I think, is to do the best I can, keeping an awareness at all times of the importance of maximizing time management. The weather’s cold and snowy, so outdoor distractions and chores are few. That in itself makes this time of year (and the next few months) some of my most productive quality time on the writing front. Let’s tap that nitrous and see how things shake out, shall we? See you soon.
