Workshop Bound

April 29, 2009

Well, I’m heading for the marketing workshop in Oregon soon, so I won’t be posting to this blog for a while.  In fact, you might not see new content here for at least a few days, till I get to the West Coast.  But hang in there!  If you’d like to read something, I’ve posted various bits and bobs under the Archives link at the top of my home page.  You’ll find lots of cool stuff there, from mini-stories to comics to flogs.  What’s a “flog,” you ask?  It’s a fake blog, totally made up…usually quite ridiculous.  You might also check out the “stoems” page.  They’re my own invention, an amalgam of stories and poetry in which snippets of verse amplify the mood or theme of a story.  So check out the archives, and I’ll be back in touch in a few days.

Meanwhile, here’s today’s photo.  This one’s a shot of me in 2005 with my writing mentors, Kristine Kathryn Rusch and Dean Wesley Smith, in Lincoln City, Oregon.  They’ll be conducting the marketing workshop I’m set to attend…and they’re both incredible people and amazing, award-winning writers.  I’m really looking forward to seeing them, spending time with them, and learning from them.  See you soon.
