It’s rare that I take time off from my writing, but that’s exactly what I’m doing this Thanksgiving. I feel guilty, like I should be burning up the keyboard cranking out a new story or starting a novel…but I also feel relaxed for the first time in ages. I’m enjoying spending time with my wife and kicking back for a change. Time enough in a day or two to throttle back up to full steam ahead. I should do this more often, actually. Sometimes, I think I’ve forgotten how to relax, so it’s good to remind myself. But mostly, I know the only way to succeed is to sustain a level of high intensity at the keyboard day in and day out. Sad but true. Happy Thanksgiving!
